A small amount of currency in the UK, US or other countries can make a huge difference in Sri Lanka - we welcome all of your help. Donations make a direct impact on the people we support. Our management and administration costs are kept low due to the fantastic gift of time from many volunteers.
ECSAT has gained the short term support of a small number of international funders, who believe in our work and trust our ability to make a difference. The rest of our funding comes from individual donors, sales of ECSART handicrafts, sales of ECSAT's Charity Gifts, selling our training expertise to other NGOs, and holding events.
We are not eligible for government support because we believe in supporting families to care for their children, rather than providing institutional care. But, we continue to work with the government and hope that in time, government support for people with disabilities will become more realistic and family-friendly.
