We would also like to thank the large development organisations who have funded projects at ECSAT:

Malteser International - 2005-2007 - helped set up ECSAT by providing initial set-up funding in order to support people affected by the tsunami, and then a second project the following year to promote peace in one tsunami-displaced community experiencing conflict and insecurity.

VSO - 2006 onwards - provided professional volunteers and support to ECSAT to develop our systems and procedures, as well as our capacity to deliver disability-specific services. Supported small initiatives like the awareness raising exhibition and national volunteering programme.

UNICEF - 2006-2007 - one project  was to improve inclusion for disabled children through preparing them for education, and the second promoted the welfare of mothers and their children in Katugoda community, Galle.

WINGS Austria - 2007 onwards - working at Salzburg Village to proide after school activities to children. In 2009 willfocus on training for preschool teachers in the Galle area in creative and inclusive activities.

Americares - 2008 - currently supporting development of the ECSART Handicrafts Training for small production groups in Galle, which will come to an end in December 2008.

Deaf Child Worldwide - 2009-2010 - will begin working with ECSAT in January 2009 to bring greater inclusion in community life for deaf children and young people in the Galle area through promotion of sign language in Kids Clubs, among parents of deaf children and among social service officers.

United Way International - 2009-2011 - have funded a programme with ECSAT to support 29 tsunami affected communities to establish effective, inclusive community based income generation activities.
